Joanna Dipnall - Co-Founder and Managing Director

Dr Joanna Dipnall is an econometrician, and Australia and New Zealand's leading practitioner of online research and renown statistician. As an author and presenter of internationally published articles, and as presenter at leading Universities and workshops, her expertise is highly valued. She presents at workshops for the Australian Consortium for Social and Political Research Incorporated (ACSPRI). In the private sector, she has worked with Australia's leading brands across banking and finance including funds management, legal, government, ICT, and accounting.

"Leading brands tend to be early adopters. They're quick to embrace new technology and as a result understand the market better than their competition," she says.

Joanna also works as a biostatistician with the School of Public Health and Preventative Medicine (SPHPM) at Monash University and Honorary Research Fellow with School of Medicine at Deakin University. Joanna has developed a novel Risk Index for Depression (RID) utilising Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) and machine learning techniques that brought together five key determinants of depression.
Joanna has been at the forefront in the use and standardization of multi-disciplinary statistical procedures. Her PhD revolves around the use and novel application of biostatistical data mining and machine learning algorithms in mental health research.
She has been a teacher of Stata statistical software for over 15 years, training across Australia and overseas and has been a member of the Scientific Committee for the Oceania Stata Users Group Meetings.
